  The Most important and successful Black revolt against the European colonial system. The Haitian Revolution played a key role in the abolishment of the slave system in the U.S. and the chattel slave system itself. In fact, Palmares in Brazil and the Haitian Revolution determined the course of modern history in the Western Hemisphere. We can say the Haitian Revolution holds some valuable insights for contemporary struggles of Black People.
